BetterU women raise the roof

The 2013 BetterU Challengers kick off their 10-week heart health improvement course at the American Heart Association on Wednesday, March 13. Sheehan's 65th anniversary

Michael and Frieda Sheehan of Albany celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on April 19th,with 2 of their daughters and spouses at Bellini's restaurant in Slingerlands. They are the proud parents of 6 children, 17 grandchildren and 7 great grand children.

Make-A-Wish Ambassadors hosted

A highlight of the Make-A-Wish Silver Anniversary Gala held March 31 at the Hall of Springs was recognition of four Wish Ambassadors on hand (left to right), Katherine, Faith, Morgan, and Julia. The Gala marked 25 years of serving the region – and granting more than 1,250 wishes for local children with life-threatening medical conditions. Proceeds from the event, which drew more than 350 people, will help to fund the estimated 100 wishes that the chapter will grant this year.

The table hosted by event Co-chairs Darren and Danielle Donohue was lively all night. More than 350 people were in attendance at this milestone event at the Hall of Springs. Highlights including a photo booth, a “candy store” dessert station, and a fireworks presentation!
