Hi. My Name is Brooke. I am a three year old pretty little kitty who is in desperate need of home. I have been abandoned and I have some friends who are trying to find me a puurrrmanent place to stay. Naturally, I am a little wary of people at first but I love food! Once I realize you are the one feeding me I will be your best pal! Please email tshwhitt@yahoo.com for more details!

Hi I'm very, very cute and my foster mom says I'm very smart. I already know sit and she is trying to work with me to not jump on everyone but I'm only doing OK with that. I am crate trained and almost house trained. Sometimes I get too busy and forget but I'm working on that. I am only 11 weeks old and I am a pretty big girl already so I may not be good with small children since I will probably grow to be a big girl.

Worm (she came with her name) is 3 years old and weighs 15 pounds. She is very active so we feel confident she has some herding type breed in her lineage. Her jaw is crooked from an old injury (probably hit by car).

I am a 7 year old quiet girl who gets along well with other small dogs and cats. I am house trained, crate trained and walk well on a leash. I rarely bark unless some big dog gets in my face or is trying to get me to play. I play great with the other two doxies in my foster home but don’t like the big goof who is 70lbs. He tries to get me to play and I let him know that I do not want to (he scares me a bit even though I know he just wants to play)! I like to hang out sitting on top of the sofa and also like to spend time chilling in my crate. And… when nobody is looking, I crawl under the quilt on my foster parent’s bed. My foster mom says I’m so well behaved and quiet that she hardly even knows I’m there.

Fun and outgoing 3 yr old german shepherd looking for a long term relationship. If you love long car rides and walks in the park, I might be the perfect match for you. I was found as a stray and was really skinny when I came to live with my foster family. I've been here two weeks and I've already gained 11lbs. I don't like cats, long story, but I had a bad break-up with a siamese. I'm going to be a big boy when I fill out - probably 90lbs so a big yard or someone who walks a lot would be awesome. I have a lot of love to give and will do just about anything for a treat.

Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! My name is Sophie and I am pretty much drop dead gorgeous - my photos do not do me justice my foster mom says. I am a very, very happy girl and I'm a rather petite shepherd mix at about 35 pounds. I am 3 years old. Homeward Bound adopted me out as a puppy and the family returned me because they said they were both working and they did not have time for me! Can you imagine that? I have a zest for life and love everyone I meet, dogs and people and kids! That kitty is a bit scary though and it's best to give him all the space he wants. My foster mom says I have very, soft fur and I'm very smart: I know sit, shake, stay and when you call me I come running - hugs galore to everyone!

You can meet Sophie at the Homeward Bound Dog Rescue adoption clinic every Saturday from 10:00-1:00 at Benson's Pet Center, 197 Wolf Road. For mor infomation, please visit:

Hello - My name is Felix. I am just over a year old and am 71 pounds of love. I like other dogs, they are cool to play with. Have not been around cats so don't know how I would be with them. Mom says I 'talk' when I carry my toys around in my mouth, and sometimes when I play. I enjoy my outside time and love to explore. We loved our first family, but they weren't home a lot for my brother Oscar and me. I really could use a family who could give me a lot more attention -- I am not a demanding dog at all, but miss good quality time to run and play not only with my brother but 'humans'.
If you like what you see, I am even more handsome in person! You can meet me at the Homeward Bound Dog Rescue adoption clinic every Saturday from 10:00-1:00 at Benson's Pet Center, 197 Wolf Road. For more information, please visit: homewardbounddogrescue.com

Romaine is a dog that loves to give kisses whenever he can. He plays well with other dogs but he shows to much interest in cats. He loves finding other little critters that might take up residence in the yard.He has successfully driven all the moles out of the back yard (where the dogs play) and now his foster mom gets to look at them in the front yard !!! He is just hitting the 8 month old mark. He loves toys and really enjoys the sound of the ones that squeak. Romaine has a very gentle personality. He will make a wonderful companion dog. He is very content to follow you around wherever you go. He is not a barker and does not demand your attention all the time. You can meet Romaine at the Homeward Bound Dog Rescue adoption clinic every Saturday from 10:00-2: 00at Benson's Pet Center, 197 Wolf Road. Timmy is a young labrador retriever mix from the Humane Society of Rome. Timmy is a little shy when he first meets new people & children. He adores walks & exploring new places. He weighs about 35 lbs, so he's considered a medium sized dog. (www.humanesocietyrome.com) Please visit petfinder.com to view photos & videos of adoptable pets in shelters. Thank you!!!
