The annual spring juried exhibition featuring the art works created by Fulton-Montgomery Community College students is on display in the Perrella Gallery now through May 10.  The jurors were professional photographer Gerald Skrocki and Union College Professor Charles Steckler. An artist’s reception was held where the juror’s awards were presented. The winners of the two juror’s awards were: Blair Comstock for her charcoal drawing and Mark Wood for his large scale wood and metal sculpture. Two juror’s honorable mention awards were given to Ashley Smith for her photograph and Taylor DeSantis for his pastel and colored pencil drawing.

The Niskayuna High School German Program announced the winner of its 2013 Tshirt Design Contest. The celebration took place Friday, March 15 in German teacher Joe Carosella's room at the high school. The contest received entries from Van Antwerp, Iroquois, and high school students.
Dan Frankel, a 6th-grade student at Van Antwerp, won $150. In addition to being a fun challenge for students, the contest raised awareness of the importance of learning German in today's world.
